Know who brought each new user
A referral link is any link that says who shared it. Make one for a creator or a partner in the dashboard, add your own id for the person to any address, or let the app make personal invite links, and every click, install and in-app event that follows is credited to them. The app receives the id on first launch, so you can reward the person who invited.
How it works
- 01
Say who shared it
Make a referral link on the Referrals page, add
?dl2_ref=user_8812to any link, or callcreateLinkwith areferrerin the SDK. - 02
The tap and the install carry it
The click is recorded with the id, and so is the install it leads to, including after a fresh install from the store.
- 03
The app is told
The link your app receives has
referrerset, andisFirstOpensays this is a new install. - 04
You see the results
The Referrals page lists each person with clicks, new installs, events and revenue, and the installs behind each number.
What is included
- Works with every link, on every plan: a short link of each person’s own, with its own QR code and stats, or your existing links with their id added.
- Pause a person to stop crediting them while their links keep working, or turn all their links off at once.
- Each install shows how it was matched: exact (Play install referrer or clipboard) or estimated.
- The id in the
link.clicked,app.installed,app.openedandapp.eventwebhooks, the data export, the REST API and CSV files. - A note for each person, search by id or note, and any date range.
Where it stops
- It credits; it does not pay. Rewards, codes and fraud rules stay in your own backend.
- Estimated iOS matches can be wrong. Before paying a reward, prefer exact matches or check the sign-up in your own records.
- Use your own opaque id for the person, not an email address or a name: it appears in the link.
- Native iOS, Android and Flutter SDKs with
referrerare not yet published; the web and React Native SDKs have it.
