Trust and safety
Report a link
If a link on a dl2.app address, or on a domain served by DL2App, took you somewhere harmful, tell us. You do not need an account.
What happens next
- It is saved and queued. Your report goes straight to our review queue, next to anything our automatic scan has found about the same link.
- A person looks at it. We aim to review every report within 24 hours. That is a target we hold ourselves to, not a guarantee: the team is small, and nights and weekends can be slower.
- If the link is harmful, we stop it. It shows a warning page instead of redirecting, and its owner is told why. Serious or repeated abuse gets the whole account suspended.
- If it is not, we close the report and the link carries on.
What to expect from us
- We do not reply to every report. If you leave an email address we may ask a question; we will not send you the outcome unless you ask.
- We do not tell the link’s owner who reported it.
- The owner of a flagged link can appeal once, and a person answers within a target of 2 days. A link can come back if the report was mistaken.
- We can only act on links we serve. If the harmful page is somewhere else and no DL2App link leads to it, report it to that site’s host.
- To keep the form usable, one network address can send 5 reports an hour. We store a scrambled form of the address for that purpose, never the address itself.
Other ways to reach us
Many links at once, or something urgent: abuse@dl2.app. A security flaw in DL2App itself: see reporting a vulnerability. If you are in danger or have lost money, contact your bank or local police first; we cannot recover funds.
The rules links have to follow are in the acceptable use policy.
