Decode a Firebase Dynamic Link

Firebase Dynamic Links stopped working in August 2025, but the links are still in your code and your old campaigns. Paste one to see exactly what it did.

Where to find your long links

Firebase shut Dynamic Links down on 25 August 2025, and short page.link addresses stopped resolving with it. A short link never contained its destination, so it cannot be decoded from the address alone. The long form is what you need, and it is usually still in one of these places:

  • Your code. Apps that built links with the SDK or by hand assembled the long form before shortening it. Search for page.link, DynamicLinkComponents or buildShortDynamicLink.
  • An export. If anyone downloaded the link list from the Firebase console before the shutdown, look there for the long form of each link.
  • Old campaigns. Email tools, ad platforms and QR code generators often stored the long link they were given.
